"Over the past year, I felt an inextricably strong pull toward water. As I moved into physical bodies of water, I began tuning into my own rhythms. I was learning to love myself. I was soaking in water medicine, steeping deeply in self love. Like uncovering a sacred jewel, an inherent fluidity and creativity returned to me. As I floated in the ocean, watching water glide over my sh birthmark in the most beautiful way, I felt a true love of myself that ran deeper than any depths I had known."

Vanessa Koch is a visual artist and designer living in San Francisco. Before the west coast beckoned her with the seaside colors of magic hour, she filled wide open corn elds with endless daydreams in Sandusky, Ohio. She studied communication design at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh where she learned to make things with sharpies and cardboard as well as pixels and code. Vanessa maintains a laboratory of projects both analog and digital.
