“'Dear Daughter' started as letters to my future daughter, juxtaposed against photos of my now-deceased parents. Through the alchemy of art, the messages also reach backwards in time to channel the ancestral wisdom that I need to hear, myself, today. We’re always turning outward for answers, but I’ve found that if I’m quiet and attentive enough...I oftentimes already have all the answers I need."

Christina Tran is an artist, writer, and wanderer who creates autobio comic essays about life, love, and loss at sodelightful.com. She is also passionate about co-design, social justice, and community building: currently that energy is being channeled into her work as co-director of Multiculturalism & Inclusion at the feminist hacker/makerspace Double Union, and as a teacher with the Social Lab at CCA.
